Abstract

The sequence of actions during the qualification of an act as a crime against life isdefined in the article. The main stages of this process are the solution of the issues connected with the
delineation of acts against life, provided by Chapter 16 and other chapters of the Special Part of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: causing death to another person and encouraging him (her)
to commit suicide; involving intent and reckless form of guilt, containing the elements of the basic or qualified or privileged corpus delicti. The definition of the article and its part, providing the responsibility
for the alleged act, can be considered as the completion of the first stage of the criminal law qualification. The purpose of the second stage of qualification of crimes against life is the determination of the
elements of the crime defined in the articles of the General Part of the criminal law.
