Scientific and Practical Journal “Legal Science and Law Enforcement Practice” is established by Tyumen Advanced Training Institute of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation. It is published since 2006 and issued quarterly.
The journal is registered by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technologies and Mass Media (Mass Media Registration Certificate PI № FS 77-51965 of November 29, 2012) and in ISSN International Centre (1998-6963).
The journal is included in the List of peer reviewed scientific publications in which the basic scientific results of dissertations for the scientific degree of Candidate of Sciences and Doctor of Sciences should be published. It is also presented in the system of the Russian Science Citation Index.
Aims and Scope
LS&LP assumes that every sovereign state implements its own unique law enforcement policy and practice. There are no identical national law enforcement systems, as there are no the same political and legal systems, the same history, culture, traditions, language, etc. Thus, the first goal of the journal is the scientific research of law enforcement practices of different countries, their comparison and harmonization, revealing and adopting the best law enforcement experience in the context of challenges and threats of the XXI century.
The second aim is the formation of the active, open, democratic, humane and efficient law enforcement system of the Russian state: identifying and solving the problems of legislative regulation of law enforcement activities; counteraction to violations of the rights and freedoms of man and citizen; development of law enforcement institutions; improving the activities of law enforcement agencies.
The journal is focused on two categories of readers and authors: subjects of law enforcement activities (scientists, experts, lecturers, students, postgraduate students of law schools) and representatives of civil society.
The goal of the journal “Legal Science and Law Enforcement Practice” is the comprehensive scientific research of law enforcement practices of Russia and foreign countries. The journal’s mission is to create a discussion platform for the authors and readers to substantiate and critically analyze the scientific ideas, the sphere of application of which is law enforcement practice.
“Legal Science and Law Enforcement Practice” is a periodical scientific publication. According to the journal policy, it welcomes the materials on a wide range of issues concerning the law enforcement system of the society.
The journal is peer reviewed. The reviewers are the recognized qualified Russian and foreign experts in the relevant fields of legal science.
Forming a portfolio of scientific papers, work on the journal’s content and publication is carried out by the editorial board, which consists of the Russian and foreign experts.
The editorial board provides peer review of all scientific papers, as well as ensuring that the authors comply with the submission guidelines.
Authors, reviewers, editorial board members and publisher adhere to the internationally accepted principles of publication ethics, developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), as well as the rules and recommendations of the Association of Science Editors and Publishers.
